Aluminum Foil Tape with Fiberglass ( Fibre Glass) Mesh Center Woven Stripe is known as Weld Backing Tape. This product is popularly used for welding of thin stainless steel. The tape is typically attached to the backside of the weld area and supports the weld pool, keeps the argon gas surrounding the weld pool. The heat resistant aluminium tape with woven fiberglass center strip is applied to eliminate or reduce the need for back purging during welding process.

Hot melt rubber adhesive fiber mesh tape works as a simple alternative to back purging, and it offers huge benefits by simply applying a strip of self adhesive welding tape to the back of the weld.
